Science Fair

This week we began our Science Fair investigation.  We are experimenting with the concepts of "SINK" and "FLOAT"
to determine which fruit float and which fruit sink.

On Monday, we introduced those concepts and students were allowed to select different items to test. Each student would guess whether the item would sink or float, then put the item into a tub of water and say whether their "best guess" was correct.

The students were really excited about testing the items!

That afternoon, students completed their "best guess" worksheets about which fruit they thought would sink or float.

On Tuesday, we reviewed the concepts then each student selected a fruit to test.

Some of the results were surprising but everyone had a lot of fun!

The students then practiced putting the actual results onto the Smartboard.

And that afternoon we had a delicious snack!

Here is the completed Display to enter into the Science Fair tomorrow.

Science is fun and delicious!
