Pumpkin Patch Field Trip

On Monday we went to the Plumper Pumpkin Patch for our first Field Trip this year.

We had fun riding the school bus together.

And exploring the farm.

 Next the farmers taught us about different types of pumpkins.

We got to see lots of different animals!

And even went on a hayride!

Next we all picked out pumpkins from the pumpkin patch.

We ate our lunch together.

Our favorite part was the playground!

What a fun trip! 

Can't wait to decorate our pumpkins at our Halloween Party on Friday!

Art Literacy - Japanese Printmaker Katsushika Hokusai

On Friday we had our first Art Literacy lesson of the year featuring Japanese Printmaker 

Katsushika Hokusai.  We learned about different kinds of lines and how to use color in prints.  

Then the students got to make and stamp their own prints!

(We have been talking about pumpkins for our upcoming field trip so lots of 

the students were inspired by that).

Jog A Thon

Yesterday was Terra Linda's first Jog A Thon 

The kids loved the music and excitement and everyone did a great job running!

Music Class and Inside Recess

We are having a great start to our year getting used to the classroom routines and learning about fun topics.  It's been too busy for a lot of pictures but here are some moments caught on Camera.

This Month we get a special performance by "Franky" when we do a great job.
